The VIENTO FL 258 series flutes have a headjoint made of 925 silver. Body and foot are made of nickel silver, silver-plated. The material or the design of the headjoint influence the sound of a flute more than any other component. The silver head gives the VIENTO FL 258 an audible increase in overtones, with an overall warm sound characteristic that also meets high demands, making it an inexpensive alternative to a flute made entirely of solid silver.
