The VIENTO FL 208 L corresponds technically and sonically to our FL 208 series. In the "L" version, however, the mechanics, the lip plate and the position of the tone holes are mirrored.

Flutes in left version
Attention! Only fixed order. No return!
Left-handed transverse flutes were previously only available as correspondingly expensive custom-made products by individual flute makers. VIENTO has now developed the first series-built left-hand flutes for:
• Flutists (right-handed) with problems in the back, shoulder or neck area.
Occasional playing with a left-handed flute can counteract these problems. When playing left, the body is turned into the opposite position, which brings the entire musculature back into balance. A new interesting alternative to physiotherapy.
• Flute teachers (right-handed)
If the teacher plays a left-hand flute, the pupil and the teacher face each other - each looking at the other's finger. Errors are recognized and corrected immediately. And learning the flute is so much more fun!
The well-known flautist Dr. Petra Music teaches flute and flute pedagogy at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. She published her experiences with the left flute in class in an article in PAN (issue 12-2014), the journal of the British Flute Society.

Left-handers can finally play the flute in a way that suits their natural feel.
A few more notes on the left-handed flute:
• Even a right-handed flutist can learn to play a left-handed flute, it just takes a little more practice than a left-handed person. See also the YouTube videos at the end of this page.
• Right-handers who have practiced on a left flute in between, often find that their playing on the normal flute has become easier and better.
• Switching between the right and left flute not only trains the body, but also the brain!
