The American Classic® series combines tradition and Vic Firth style. The Classics are lathed from select hickory wood, a dense wood with little bend for a distinctive sound. Hickory can withstand heavy impact and is therefore very durable.
ONLY VIC FIRTH MANUFACTURES INJECTION-MOLDED NYLON TIPS!
This allows Vic Firth to guarantee that nylon tips will remain on the stick.
The injection-molded nylon has been specially developed for high impact resistance and durability—the wood will break before the nylon tip does!
