The reeds of the Black Master series have been specially manufactured and optimized for clarinets with the German system. However, they can also be used for the related Austrian clarinets.
The Black Master series has a big and full sound which is highly appreciated in the upper orchestras and clubs. The reeds come in the innovative flow-pack concept. Each reed is packed separately in an airtight foil to ensure consistent and high quality.
Difference to the White Master series
The reeds in the Black Master series are cut thicker and wider. The result is a voluminous and large tone.
Uniform thickness
All Vandoren reeds are tested and sorted using highly sensitive electronic measuring equipment. This provides the greatest possible certainty that the contents of a pack do not vary in thickness.
Protection
Each Vandoren reed is stored individually in a special plastic protective cover to prevent damage.
