Meyer rubber mouthpieces for Clarinet
Made by the famous JJ Babbitt Company in the USA, the Meyer Clarinet mouthpieces are a favourite amongst Jazz, Commercial and Swing clarinettists. They are designed for players looking for a more ‘old-school’ jazz and swing tone, and for use in jazz and swing bands. With a medium chamber and medium length facing the range extends from the close tip opening of 4MM up to the widest 9MM.
They produce a bright, focused and punchy sound, meaning these Meyer Clarinet mouthpieces are designed to cut through above the rest of the ensemble. For the player they offer a vibrant, flexible feel and are very free-blowing.
Depending on tip opening, their level of control varies. The smaller openings allow for a more focused, flexible tone whereas the larger of the scale create a well-rounded, overall larger sound for the player.
Available in sizes from 4MM to 9MM
The closer tip openings give more control and require a harder reed set-up.
The more open tips can give a wider sound with more projection but less focus and are harder to control in lower dynamics and with regards intonation.
Ideal for Jazz, Swing, Commercial and Show playing.
Made in the USA from the finest dense ebonite.
Supplied with ligature and cap.
