Legere French Cut Reeds for Tenor Saxophone
A refined, symphonic reed that offers the player a rich and stable tone with the perfect amount of resistance.
- Dark, centered sound: Specifically designed to offer a deep and centered sound that allows for a wide range of tonal expression.
- High overtone suppression: Unlike other cuts, the French Cut intentionally suppresses high frequency overtones, providing intense body and depth to the sound.
- Feedback-driven design: Created from artist feedback and refined through countless iterations to ensure it meets the needs of dedicated musicians.
The revised profile of the French Cut emphasizes even material distribution while maintaining a thin tip, providing artists with the ideal blend of quick response and subtle resistance. This design provides a rich and resonant sound that is tailor-made for classical performers.
Combining scientific research with a love of reed making, the French Cut has undergone countless refinements, taking into account feedback from dedicated artists. The goal: a synthetic reed that achieves the tonal quality of traditional reeds while offering all the advantages of a synthetic reed. In response to players' wishes, the French Cut is a combination of age-old preferences and modern innovation.
