The special climate on the western edge of the Andes in Argentina is the basis for the currently best quality cane production for clarinet and saxophone reeds. In 1983, Juan José González founded the company Argendonax S.R.L. together with his son Juan Pablo and the Argentinian clarinettist Martin Tow. Their aim was to grow and cultivate Arundo Donax and supply the raw material to renowned producers all over the world. After many years of research and development, Juan José González decided to produce leaves under his own name in 1995. Since then, the GONZÁLEZ brand has grown steadily in reputation among professional musicians all over the world, not least due to the excellent quality of the wood, which clearly sets it apart from the competition.
