ESM Böhm Bb Clarinet Mouthpieces - French Cut with metal ring
Clarinet mouthpieces Böhm system
E4D
Our Böhm mouthpieces were further developed with some German and European top clarinetists such as Friedolin Greis from the Mainz State Theater. Together with Mr. Greis we have developed our 'E4D' into an excellent mouthpiece with a smaller opening area. It can be used for chamber music as well as solo and symphonic music. The 'E4D' has an opening of 1.10 mm and a face length of 18.5 mm, making it an ideal professional mouthpiece. Our sheet recommendation: 2, 2 ½, 3.
J5B
The ‘J5B’ with an opening of 1.30 mm and a length of 17.5 mm is ideal for jazz clarinetists.
MCK1
Together with the American musician Roger W. McKinney we have developed a new mouthpiece - the ‘MCK 1’ with an opening of 1.03 mm and a length of 18 mm. It is particularly well suited for the American market and those who prefer the American tone.
RCR
In cooperation with Claus Raumberger, music journalist and author of “Das Saxophon”, we have expanded our range of clarinet mouthpieces. The result is the tracks RCR.3 (opening 1.19 mm, length 17.5 mm), RCR.5 (opening 1.20 mm, length 17 mm) and RCR.6 (opening 1.20, length 17.5 mm) ).
Track "RCR.3" delivers a strong, dark tone with voluminous depth, round head tones and a powerful clarino register. The approach should be mature as stronger leaves are recommended.
"RCR.5" produces a radiant, brilliant sound with first-class projection that enables good dynamic shading. Here the blower can also use lighter reeds.
"RCR.6" has the longest runway. The mouthpiece is very light-blown, with a liquid tone with a more German sound character and is the most reed-friendly of the three models. All French-cut leaf brands are suitable. Our new tracks are basically suitable for all styles, whereby "RCR.3" is more suitable for concert and chamber music and "RCR.5" should be popular with jazz musicians. "RCR.6" is a real all-rounder. Although primarily designed for Boehm clarinets, the tracks can also be played excellently on the German clarinet.
MB
We have developed clarinet mouthpieces especially for the American market, the MB and SW series. These mouthpieces are designed for the velvety dark tone cultivated in the States. The MB models (MB1, MB2, MB3, MBM) were created with the intention of minimizing build-up problems and are offered in four different track values. Even when using lighter reeds, the intonation and color remain at a high level.
SW
The SW mouthpieces come into their own in the symphonic wind orchestra or symphony orchestra. The track concept enables great tone with excellent dynamic control. Two tracks are produced, SWA and SWB, which also satisfy professional musicians. Together with the clarinetist and music teacher Johannes Sulik, student of the legendary Prof. Klein in Cologne, we have developed special clarinet mouthpieces.
JP
These mouthpieces of the JP series represent a connection between famous, older tracks with today's acoustic knowledge. They are available in four values:
JP5 has a small opening and a long face, responds easily and is suitable for students and professionals alike.
The basis for JP6 is a sought-after, old French train that was mainly blown in America and Switzerland.
The type of the real all-rounder is represented by JP7, a medium-open track that can be blown with lighter reeds and is equally suitable for symphonic players and jazz musicians.
Finally, JP8 is a more classic mouthpiece, but with the appropriate reeds it can also be used in all styles.
LD1
The exceptional musician Lajos Dudas, who was born in Budapest and now lives in Germany, is one of the most important clarinetists of our time and primarily takes on contemporary music.
As for every clarinetist, for Lajos Dudas the mouthpiece is of central importance in addition to the actual instrument accessory.
Together with the technical director Paul Kinzelmann, Dudas developed a mouthpiece track that exactly matches his ideas. The LD1 mouthpiece is available from our “Heaven” material (blue-transparent with aluminum speckles) with a metal ring. Lajos Dudas prefers medium-open lanes, on which all conventional sheets fit and which respond very easily. Its mouthpieces produce a centered sound that is very capable of modulation and has the necessary projection so that one remains audible without amplification.
Delivery time for common models approx. 1 week.
